9月30日，週二亞市盤中，現貨黃金交投於3840美元/盎司附近，金價週一首次突破每盎司3800美元，創歷史新高至3834.03美元/盎司，因投資者押注美國將降息、擔憂政府可能停擺以及地緣政治緊張局勢加劇。
美元兌歐元、日元等主要貨幣週一下跌，此前因美國經濟數據強於預期而在上週走強，市場等待本周公布的關鍵非農就業報告，以尋找美聯儲政策路徑的更多線索。
近期公佈的住房、耐久財訂單以及第二季度國內生產總值（GDP）修正值等數據均高於預期，此外，美國初請失業金人數大幅下降。這些經濟數據促使市場下調對美聯儲降息的預期。
美元回落也受到政府停擺風險影響，政府撥款將於週二午夜到期。美國總統特朗普週一將在白宮與國會領導人會面，作最後努力以結束僵局。
BannockburnForex駐紐約的首席市場策略師MarcChandler表示，“今天整體在盤整，基調略顯沉重。但關鍵在於政府是否會在明天午夜停擺，原本下一個推動因素將是本週五公佈的就業數據，但如果政府停擺，我們就拿不到就業數據。這意味著不確定性增加。”
美國勞工部周一確認，一旦發生部分政府停擺，其統計機構將暫停發布經濟數據，包括備受關注的9月非農就業報告。

亞洲市場
RatingDog週二公佈的最新數據顯示，中國9月份的RatingDog製造業採購經理人指數（PMI）從8月份的50.5升至51.2。市場預測為50.3。中國9月服務業採購經理人指數從8月的53小幅下降至52.9。該數據略低於報告期內市場預期的52.3。
中國官方製造業採購經理人指數（PMI）繼8月的49.4之後，9月升至49.8。該讀數高於報告月份市場普遍預期的49.6。
國家統計局非製造業採購經理人指數9月份降至50，而8月份為50.3，低於預期的50.3。
歐洲市場
英國央行副行長戴夫·拉姆斯登（DaveRamsden）今天表示，英國勞動力市場繼續寬鬆，工資增長正常化，支持通貨緊縮進程。他指出，雖然通脹壓力很大，但央行預測9月份CPI暫時升至4%可能會達到頂峰。
